Alana Zimath

Alana’s research sits at the intersection of ancient Jewish literature and religion in modernity. She studies the Hebrew Bible and the Dead Sea Scrolls, focusing especially on the interpretive tendencies of ancient and modern readers alike. Her questions center topics such as ancient literary production and forms of rewriting, history of biblical scholarship, and critical theory.

Alana holds a BA in Religion from Florida State University and an MAR in Hebrew Bible from Yale Divinity School.
