Advising

Students are not assigned a specific advisor upon admission and are encouraged to take courses with as many members of the faculty in their primary and secondary areas of concentration as possible, especially during their first few years of residence. Students should review their plans for coursework and exam preparation with relevant faculty and with the ADGS for the Program in Mediterranean and West Asian Religions. Each student will have a year-end meeting that includes a minimum of two faculty advisors (at least one from each of the student’s primary and secondary areas of concentration) and the ADGS for the program. The dissertation advisor is determined only at the time of the Dissertation Colloquium.
