Melania Linderman
Melania is an incoming PhD student in the Religious Studies Department’s Ancient Christianity concentration. Her research interests currently focus on the history of Christianity in Late Antiquity, the early Medieval period, and the Middle and Late Byzantine periods. Melania is particularly interested in a comparative approach to the study of Eastern and Western Christian mystical theology, as well as topics in theological anthropology, Christian cosmology, and Byzantine material culture.
Melania, whose background is in Eastern Orthodox Christianity, has received her BA in Politics and Philosophy from the University of Pittsburgh and her Masters degrees (MTS & ThM) concentrating in Patristic Theology from Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology.
