Christine Chang
Christine studies racial capitalism as theological-ethical concern in the practice of Christianity. Her research draws from Black studies, postcolonial theory, decolonial thought, and ecofeminism to inform an approach to ethical inquiry which seeks to refuse the hegemony of racial capitalism.
Christine holds a BS in Human Development and Psychological Services from Northwestern University, a Masters of Health Services Administration from the University of Michigan School of Public Health, and a Masters of Theological Studies from McCormick Theological Seminary.
Prior to beginning doctoral study at Yale, Christine’s career included service as: Executive Pastor at River City Community Church in Chicago; Senior Director of Strategy and Administration at Lawndale Christian Health Center; Director of Engagement at Northwestern Medicine; Director of Strategic Planning at Cadence Health.
