Event description: 

Professor Markus Rathey, the Robert S. Tangeman Professor in the Practice of Music History at Yale will offer a pre-concert lecture, “Sacred Love Songs and Royal Jubilation: Bach’s Christmas Oratorio and its History” prior to Yale Schola Cantorum’s performance of Bach’s Christmas Oratorio, conducted by David Hill.
The talk will take place at 6:30 pm in Sheffield-Sterling-Strathcona Hall, room 114. The concert will follow
in Woolsey Hall at 7:30 pm.
Both events are free and open to the public.
