Members of the YDS, Yale, and greater New Haven community are invited to a special event at YDS on Wednesday, March 25, to mark the opening of “Seeking Shelter: A Story of Place, Faith and Resistance”—an exhibition about Daniel Berrigan, William Stringfellow, and their faith-based activism.
Running from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., the event will begin with exhibit-viewing in the YDS Library’s Ministry Resource Center, followed by a panel and reception in the Old Common Room. The panel, exploring the contemporary significance of the exhibition, will include YDS professor Erika Helgen along with Frida Berrigan, a columnist and author who is Daniel Berrigan’s niece, and Mark Colville, founder of the Amistad Catholic Worker house in New Haven. YDS faculty member Tisa Wenger will serve as panel moderator.
The exhibition will be installed in late March and remain in the YDS Library through May.
