Event description: 

Join us on December 10 in Woolsey Hall as Yale Schola Cantorum, conducted by David Hill, performs Weihnachts Oratorium BWV 248 (or the Christmas Oratorio) by Johann Sebastian Bach.
A pre-concert lecture, “Sacred Love Songs and Royal Jubilation: Bach’s Christmas Oratorio and its History” will be offered by Professor Markus Rathey at 6:30 pm in Sheffield-Sterling-Strathcona Hall, room 114. Rathey is the Robert S. Tangeman Professor in the Practice of Music History at Yale
Yale Schola Cantorum is a chamber choir sponsored by the Yale Institute of Sacred Music that performs sacred music from the sixteenth century to the present day in concert settings and choral services around the world.
