Meg Cutting ’20 will perform an all-French repertoire on Woolsey Hall’s Newberry Organ, including works by Olivier Latry, Olivier Messiaen, and Charles-Marie Widor.

Meg Cutting graduated from the Yale Institute of Sacred Music and the Yale School of Music in 2020 with a Master of Music in Organ Performance. Prior to Yale, she received a Bachelor of Music at the Eastman School of Music, in the studio of Nathan J. Laube.
Meg is from Salem-Keizer, Oregon, and began studying piano at the age of six. She previously studied piano and organ under the instruction of Pamela Miller. Meg has participated in various festivals, competitions, and music programs throughout her musical career. Most recently, she was a finalist in the Taylor Organ Competition in Atlanta, GA, which took place in April 2018. Meg was also selected as an E. Power Biggs Fellow for the 60th National Organ Historical Society Convention in Western Massachusetts in 2015. In 2016, she was broadcast on the radio show Pipedreams Live! Additionally, she performed in concert at Woolsey Hall at Yale University (December 2018), Slee Hall at the University of Buffalo (April 2018), and at Central Synagogue in New York City (November 2017). She is also the two-time recipient of the Robert Carwithen Music Foundation Scholarship. Currently, Meg is the Wilson Family Sacred Music Intern at the Brick Presbyterian Church in Manhattan, New York, under Minister of Music Keith Tóth.
