Toward a Common Future: Seeking Unity through Lutheran Catholic Dialogue

Co-leaders of the Lutheran Catholic dialogue–Bishop William Kenney and Bishop Eero Huovienen will speak about ecumenism and how these denominations move toward unity while respecting one another’s traditions.

There will be a lecture at 4:30 p.m. with the Catholic and Lutheran bishops along with a student panel that will discuss what ecumenism looks for us as a lived experience, not just dialogue on this high level. A light reception will follow around 5:30 p.m. and an ecumenical service at Marquand Chapel at 6:00 p.m., where we will commemorate the late theologian George Lindbeck, who was so influential to these two men.
