Best known for her memoir, Eating Fire: My Life as a Lesbian Avenger, Kelly Cogswell was a digital media pioneer, co-founding The Gully online magazine offering “queer views on everything.” Now an independent journalist and prize-winning columnist for Gay City News in New York, she specializes in LGBT issues when she’s not writing about food. Her new work in progress is a long essay thinking about personal and political identities, bodies, and just what the word lesbian is good for.
